Welcome...
to the 2024 Environmental Measurement Symposium, which is the combined meeting of the Forum on Environmental Accreditation and the 39th Annual National Environmental Monitoring Conference (NEMC) at the Hyatt Regency in Garden Grove, CA.
On behalf of the Symposium Steering Committee, I would like to thank you all for helping make this conference a success. We have over 500 attendees and a great schedule. I wanted to share a few items with you, so you can better prepare for the meeting.
Registration will be open from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm on Sunday, August 4th in the ballroom foyer in the north tower, and then reopen at 7:30 am on Monday.
You will be receiving a separate email this Sunday on how to log in to the Symposium Portal where you can preview each day’s presentations, view recordings of all NEMC oral presentations and TNI committee meetings, view the NEMC poster presentations, and download both the attendee list and the final program. Look for the subject line: Symposium Portal Login Instructions. Recordings of all presentations will generally be available 24 hours after the presentation and will remain available until October 31, 2024. After that date, the presentations will be converted to Adobe Acrobat pdf files and posted on the symposium website.
Your spouse or significant other is invited to attend our opening reception on Monday, August 5 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
I look forward to seeing you all next week for what promises to be a great meeting!!!

About the Environmental Measurement Symposium
The NELAC Institute (TNI) is the sponsor of the Environmental Measurement Symposium, the largest conference focused on environmental measurements in North America. In 2007, we created this Symposium by combining the National Environmental Monitoring Conference (NEMC) with the Forum on Environmental Accreditation. This change reduced the travel costs and time commitments for those who have attended both meetings and provided new opportunities for those who have only participated in one of these events in the past. Since we combined the meetings, attendance has more than doubled, the number of technical papers has grown, and the quality of the exhibit program has significantly improved.
